Newcastle University - M.Arch
My studies at Newcastle University were comprehensive, providing me with a deep understanding of both theoretical, research-based architecture and a hands-on approach to the field. Experiencing two distinct architectural approaches from different countries has taught me new perspectives and helped me expand my horizons, providing me with a valuable, global perspective to architecture. Below you’ll find two projects I've worked on during my 2nd year at the Newcastle University.
SRH Heidelberg - Architecture B.A.
The program at SRH is structured around 23 five-week modules, each focused on a specific topic and culminating in a design-based assessment. Throughout my studies, I gained a deeper understanding of not only design principles but also material handling, construction detailing, structural theory, and the fundamentals of wood and steel construction. Prior to the pandemic, many modules were accompanied with field excursions. On the following pages, I have highlighted three assignments that showcase both my academic achievements and the progress I’ve made throughout my studies.
AutoAberKlein (meaning Cars, but small) is a transportation and urban planning concept I've been working on in my free time. It aims to create safe space for cyclists without sacrificing individual motorized transport by suggesting the drastic size reduction of cars.
